As a Supervisory Program Manager GS-0340-15, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:
Provide leadership and supervision to subordinate staff to help ensure that trust accounts are managed in accordance with established trust policies and procedures. Establish work priorities, conduct performance evaluations, provide instruction to employees on technical work performed, resolve employee complaints, and identify staff training needs. Perform a wide range of administrative duties; i.e. budget, expenditure plans, facilitate equipment and other purchase and procurement requirements. Provide technical assistance, guidance and direction on programmatic activities relating to or affecting assets held in trust, beneficiary trust functions and other miscellaneous trust matters as well as administrative functions. Assess achievement of program objectives and recommend improvements to address operational and/or compliance issues. Serve in conjunction with supervisor as a consultant and expert to senior executive service leaders on trust asset management, services and operations. Recommend new and innovative ideas, approaches and solutions to complex problems and unique issues that affect the organization's ability to properly fulfill its fiduciary trust obligations. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Department of Interior organizations that provide trust services; work with governmental and/or non-governmental counterparts to resolve disputes or impasses. Perform periodic program reviews; develop and coordinate efforts to build consensus on the establishment of policies and procedures; train and implement the new devised policies and procedures. Implement internal control standards for the monitoring and management of trust assets and the level, quality and responsiveness of trust services provided to beneficial owners to ensure the protection and preservation of trust funds. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. GS-15:
One (1) year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service that includes:
Interpret regulations and directives to determine impact on programs such as compact/contract negotiations, trust litigation, management of trust assets, budget expenditures, purchase and procurement, or workforce planning; Provide recommendations for changes on Federal Laws, Regulations and Executive Orders; Develop new program objectives based on program goals; Supervise and oversee operations and direction over subordinates; Coordinate and maintain relationships with executive level officials at Agency and other Federal agencies; Serve as an expert of generally accepted fiduciary trust principles, the agencies roles and responsibilities for the management of trust funds; Express ideas, concepts, processes, and procedures in a clear, concise, and logical manner in oral communication; Provide training on and implement newly devised policies and procedures. Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year (52 weeks) of service at the next lower grade level. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
