As a Data Specialist III , you will be responsible for providing entry-level policy processing support to your team. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow with us. The Data Specialist III will participate in job shadowing opportunities and receive ongoing training in our core processes to prepare for career growth into positions such as Claims Examiner, Insurance Specialist, Consumer Relations Associate, and/or Operations Compliance Specialist. As a Data Specialist III , you will have direct impact on external client satisfaction through the quality and timeliness of processing support for the customer service team. Responsibilities include handling basic client calls, sending faxes, returning messages, picking up mail and forwarding mail.
_ Must be able to work any shift between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and overtime same day if needed at employee's discretion. _
Prepare policy files for processing, following standard procedures and guidelines in responding to customer requests.
Gather necessary information to process policy files. Information may be received from incoming mail, customer phone calls, express delivery, on-line applications, fax, and/or email.
Review policy applications, forms and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Responsible for data entry of policy information into imaging and administrative systems. Process standard policy and claim requests by following standard screens and procedures to perform tasks.
Adapt procedures, processes and techniques to more complex problems and issues as appropriate.
Complete team's administrative support duties.
Process and provide timely response to standard customer requests.
Balance workload based on business needs while meeting deadlines and requirements.
Develop strong understanding of all systems and use them effectively to resolve customer issues.
Appropriately escalate issues when necessary according to guidelines.
Build and maintain effective working relationships and support teamwork in meeting company goals.
Understand how the Data Specialist III role fits into the larger organizational context and actively support others in the achievement of common goals.
Maintain professionalism with all contacts, both internal and external and treat individuals with respect.
Participate in special projects, assume new responsibilities, and adjust priorities as requested.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and respond to requests in a timely manner
Demonstrated proficiency with basic
computer
skills including experience moving between multiple computer screens while entering data
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one year general data entry experience in an office or customer service environment.
Experience using scanning and imaging software and on-line tools
Bilingual a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
