Accounting Clerk Job Description Summary/Objective To provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department by processing and recording accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, payroll, and sales transactions accurately and timely.
Responsibilities Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
Record and reconcile daily sales transactions from all companies.
Record monthly sales journals from all companies.
Record daily credit card and cash sales receipts journals from all companies.
Process accounts payable.
Process and record monthly credit card charges from all companies.
Process new hire paperwork and reports.
Process payroll for all companies weekly.
Reconcile bank accounts.
Provide office support to company personnel.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements Ethical conduct.
Maintain confidential information.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Aptitude for numbers.
Well organized.
Proven accounting experience or enrollment in accounting education program.
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
Competency in MS Office, Excel, databases and accounting software.
Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
